Mission Highlights
The VP of Sales is simultaneously an inspiring manager, doer, and mentor who recruits, animates & grows a team, and the turnover it generates. The VP of Sales is the owner of the Sales team, scaling and industrializing our initiated sales machine, improving and leveraging on past experience, as well as the owner of the sales strategy and the designer of the sales processes (CRM, Forecasting, qualification framework, sales efficiency process, etc.). Sharing strategic insights with the founders to adapt processes/products and tools to be as efficient as possible.
The VP of Sales usually reports to the CEO/ the Founder.
Responsibilities
- Perfect, develop and implement (new) sales processes and programs to accelerate the company’s growth and drive revenue and profitability,
- Launch new territories, markets or geographies,
- Prepares forecasts and KPI reporting to provide regular updates to senior management on sales performance and market trends,
- Implement and ensure that sales processes are effective and efficient,
- Both manage inbound and outbound strategies as well as new business and account management to ensure full coverage of sales cycles and quality of clients’ relationships,
- Scale a Sales Team: Recruit, lead and manage the sales team to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth, helping them build businesses,
- Work collaboratively across teams i.e Marketing, Product, Tech, Customer success,
- Closing/Negotiation: Act as an Executive sponsor and be involved in the signing and management of strategic key account customers and coordinating the commercial proposals of the team and in the identification of new commercial growth levers,
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize the sales process and sales performance,
- The VP of Sales also plays an important role in representing the company at events and speaking engagements.
Profile
- 10 years minimum of experience as a Head of Sales, including significant experience in a startup or a scaleup (on a BtoB / BtoC or SaaS product or in our dedicated field),
- Experience in building a Sales Machine and make it repeatable,
- Ability to standardize processes,
- Team leader with strong interpersonal skills as well as demonstrated leadership, mentorship capabilities, perseverance and ambition,
- Trustworthiness to become key business partner and advisor,
- Intuition and analytical skills to deliver strategic advices and identify opportunities for growth,
- Excellent interpersonal skills: listening skills, good oral expression, social intelligence,
- Knowledge of the client's universe and determination of their needs,
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional team,
- Comfortable with numbers and KPI driven,
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
